Floor Care & Strip and Wax

Restorative floor care for hard surfaces that take real traffic

Strip and wax, scrubbing, buffing and tile and grout cleaning that brings commercial hard floors back rather than just cleaning over them.

Overview

Floors are the first thing a customer reads about how a building is run. Once finish is worn through, routine mopping stops helping - the surface needs to be stripped back and rebuilt.

We handle restorative floor work on the surfaces common in commercial buildings: VCT, quarry and ceramic tile, polished concrete, vinyl plank and sealed hard surfaces. Work is scheduled overnight or over a weekend so your floors are dry and back in service before you open.

Who this is for

  • Retail operators with high-traffic sales floors
  • Restaurants with quarry tile kitchens and dining rooms
  • Property managers maintaining lobbies and common areas
  • Medical and dental facilities with VCT corridors
  • Schools, churches and municipal buildings

FAQ

Floor Care & Strip and Wax questions

How long does a floor need to stay off-limits?
Strip and wax requires the area to be clear while finish is applied and cures. We normally schedule overnight or across a weekend so the floor is back in service for your next business day. Exact timing depends on the finish, coat count, humidity and area size.
How often do commercial floors need to be stripped and waxed?
It varies with traffic. Many facilities strip once or twice a year and use scrub-and-recoat or burnishing in between to keep gloss up without removing all the finish. We will recommend an interval after seeing the floor.
Which floor types do you work on?
Commonly VCT, quarry and ceramic tile, polished and sealed concrete, luxury vinyl plank and sealed hard surfaces. If you have a specialty surface such as natural stone or a manufacturer-specific finish, tell us during the walkthrough so we can confirm the right method.
